As you might imagine, we at Drumvoice adore the ancient and magical combination of drumming and singing.
Our African Drumming and Singing Celebration is a full day intensive workshop aimed at upper primary and secondary school children. We orchestrate an unforgettable day for up to 90 children, culminating with a performance in front of the entire school.
Classes take turns experiencing the beauty and fun of songs from across Africa in languages such as Zulu and Congolese and also becoming an African drumming band, learning their own arrangements as well as performing the important role of accompanying the singers.
This workshop is hugely popular and creates a real sense of occasion for the whole school.
